Next year we probably will be using a Web based handin system like the intro courses use. This term has been somewhat of an experiment in giving students feedback on compilation and execution. The Intro system dooes not do that yet.
You are right that things are buggy. They will however get better.
Your complaint is not being ignored. If you like to write Java, we are looking to hire talented programmers to help finish this thing by Spring.
