| Subject: board evaluation vs move evaluation |

in the game tree we evaluate after going to a certain depth.
but then do we evaluate the last move or the board as a whole.
Although evaluating the board makes sense but its difficult to go and check every space on the board for coming up with an evaluation. On the other hand its easy to evaluate the last move but how does it relate to the initial move we make. |
