I was going to say use the scoping controller "protected", but "protected" is insufficient for your answer, so your answer lies in www.umsl.edu/~subraman/friend.html ~40% down at "The Custom Approach which also has a concise defn of C++'s
"friend" (for those who forgot or don't know).
