What I did before I started implementing the Indexer was to just have the Spider send the page it is currently reading to the output, and then I compared it to the test output they have in the write-up. I found that the outputs were reasonably similar (given that MIT's home page has changed since they wrote the writeup), and assumed that my Spider was correct.
