My recommendation is to make handin accept just 1 hwx.jar (where x=hw number) and nothing else. Nothing. Including the "easy or hard way" or "give the absolutely directory to the main whatever" and everything else that might have been an attempt to foulproof the handin system but is actually causing more pain than gain.
